Yvonne Fisher
Controller
Yvonne serves as Financial Controller of B&D. Though she started with us as a contract employee, she loved working with our team so much she chose to come on full-time. Having served in a variety of roles within the finance industry, including an assistant vice president of an insurance company, Yvonne brings a wealth of experience to our company. Yvonne has played an instrumental role in helping our business grow, and we are very fortunate to have such a detail-oriented, passionate employee on our team.
What is the most meaningful project?
When I stepped into my role, I standardized many processes in order to be more forward-looking. We’ve worked together with the leadership team to implement controls and long-term financial planning. These changes have allowed us to better strategize and identify areas of improvement and better serve our clients.
What does it mean to you to be a solution-ist?
It means not only defining the problem but bringing to the table a way to resolve it. A lot of times people can point out a problem, but they can’t solve it. A solutionist is able to identify how to overcome the issue and actually get it taken care of.
What is your favorite tree or plant?
An oleander because it reminds me of my childhood. I have always had one in my yard, ever since I’ve had a house. I was raised in California and Oleanders are everywhere in Northern California.
