The King Residence
The King Residence presented a unique opportunity for the B&D team to flex its creative muscle. The owners of the residence desired a resort-like feel for their home, and we were able to deliver just that. Located in the upscale Memorial area of Houston, this private residence features outdoor areas with thoughtfully curated gardens woven with elements of the surrounding environment. Entertainment spaces abound, including a wooded pool deck, lilly pond, fountained Koi pond and two-story outdoor kitchen. A glass bridge was installed to guide visitors from the indoor living area to the outdoor recreational space. The final phase of the project focused on adorning the property with hand-selected vegetation, including Blanchard Magnolia, Shumard Red Oak, Purple Vitex and Black Bamboo.

Bleyzer Residence
Located along Buffalo Bayou, the Bleyzer Residence is a privately-owned home located in the heart of Houston. Nestled between dense forest on one side and backwater wetland on the other, this “smart home” was thoughtfully designed with flooding in mind, a frequent occurrence in Houston during heavy rain events. Working with OJB Landscape Architects, the B&D team constructed a state-of-the-art stacked-stone retaining wall around the Bleyzer Residence for flood control purposes, as well as elevated outdoor seating areas, terraces and gardens that blend nicely with the surrounding greenery while keeping nature at the forefront of the home’s theme.
