After five years in the classroom, Kyle Schweigert retired from teaching in 2023 to start her career anew at B&D, bringing many skills learned as an educator with her. As our Administrative Manager, Kyle thrives on working with both internal and external parties to create a seamless accounting experience for our clients. Her encouraging, uplifting attitude has been a welcome addition to the team! If we had to pick just one cool fact about Kyle it’d be that she was named after Texas A&M University’s renowned Kyle Field.
Being able to communicate with everyone. It gives me insights into different parts of projects. I enjoy working with vendors and subcontractors, as well as internal team members, to communicate between the two so we can move projects forward. There’s always something new to learn in this job.
It’s great bringing in different skills from teaching and learning the business end of the world. And it’s been really fun to go to a space where everyone is welcomed and respected; you get your own freedom and opportunities to choose your working habits and creative liberties.
Anything that has to do with the mountains. I grew up going to Colorado every summer – whenever I see the mountains and smell the fresh air it immediately grounds me. Makes me feel like myself.
To me, problems are always going to arise no matter what happens. Being a solutionist is about simplifying each problem to make it approachable. You have to be open, willing, and creative to tackle the problems you encounter. And also have faith in yourself that you can solve each problem that arises no matter what.
